Today I sanded the shoes of the figures so that they stay upright.                             Then they got a coat of very diluted primer.

Now the painting can begin.

Thumbup Hub,

Really looking forward to you working your Magic on my figures.

Thank you for sharing

Ron
I have started on my group, but as always, I lack imagination in choosing colours. So, glad to see Hub's work and I can get inspiration from his.  (um, thanks Hub!)

Hi Leo,

You will get a more realistic result by using matt paint for clothes.
Semi-gloss can be used for leather garments.
Inspiration can be found in the January issue of Slot Car Magazine:

This afternoon I started painting :

[attachment=21033][attachment=21034]
First I had to remove a small strip of resin on both camera lenses.                            Then I started painting the skin, as it is the bottom layer that will be painted...

[attachment=21035][attachment=21036]
The skin painting is finished.                                                                                                       The painting of the blue trousers followed.

[attachment=21037][attachment=21038]
The blue trousers are finished. A layer of diluted white paint follows later to get a vague blue jeans effect. Other colours were mixed with each other.

Great to see your progress, I've still been plodding along with mine and look forward to getting inspiration from yours.

Ron
OK, if mine are not too bad, I will show them as an example of minimalist painting!

Leo,

I look forward to seeing them, I love seeing my figures in their new homes.

With those bright colours they look very nice already.

Hi Leo,

I will try to show my progress here and I will explain how to get a good result in a simple way.
